Salvation is a complete deliverance which begins at our PASS-OVER from death to life, from darkness to light, from bondage to breakthrough! Similar to the feast of Passover where the Israelites where released from the bondage of Pharaoh by the Lamb. We are in the process of being saved from missing the mark of a mistaken identity. Sin is missing the mark of glory…Saved from missing the mark as an archer who misses the target. Sin also means to miss the point of human existence. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
As we put on the hope of salvation, as we put on Christ we are being clothed with the light of the glory of God that radiates from the face of Jesus Christ. “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation” (1 Thessalonians 5:8). We are dead and our life is hid with Christ in God. The more we become consciousness of the glory of God, the new man arises within us and we are on our way to complete victory. This enables us to be free to be who we are, a new creation in Christ. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4) We are free to love, live and enjoy our life in Christ!
