Dear Friends,
The heavens were OPEN to Ezekiel and they are Open to You. What was the purpose of all this activity surrounding Ezekiel? What significance does it have for us today? What was the Spirit so intent revealing to Ezekiel and more importantly you? When Ezekiel looked he saw a whirlwind, a great cloud and fire infolding itself and out of the midst came the likeness of four living creatures. Fire is a representation of the presence of God which purifies and illuminates. The whirlwind is the ruwach, wind or breath of God.
Notice it came from the north –that is the location of Zion (Ps 48:2). In Ezekiel 1:4, what is emphasized is the wind, a great cloud, and fire. These ingredients were present at the birthing of the Church on the day of Pentecost. The empowering presence of God seen by Ezekiel birthed a divine revelation of that which he saw in the midst of the fire. He said it was the likeness of four living creatures, the amplified bible says cheribum. They had the likeness of a man. What are the cheribum or the four living creatures that he saw? I believe it is the new creation man made in the likeness and image of God. May the Holy Spirit open the eyes of our heart to see.
Colossians 3:10 And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it. AMP
Ephesians 4:24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. AMP
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! AMP
The new man is the Christ nature. What Ezekiel saw was the new creation man, which you are! We need to live from our true identity which is Christ. He desires to bring many sons to GLORY:
Hebrews 2:10 For it was an act worthy [of God] and fitting [to the divine nature] that He, for Whose sake and by Whom all things have their existence, in bringing many sons into glory, should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest] through suffering. AMP
Be confident that the heavens are open to YOU. You are able to see and perceive what the Spirit is revealing. The word is speaking to you and His hand is upon you. Praying today and every day in this new season and New Year you are keenly aware of the supernatural love, care and divine intervention of our Great God.
